The Future of Crypto Fraud Prevention

Cryptocurrency transactions move at unprecedented speed, creating new challenges for law enforcement, regulators, and financial institutions. In this interview, Chris Wong explains why traditional approaches to information sharing and financial crime prevention often struggle to keep pace with the realities of the digital asset ecosystem.

The discussion focuses on the importance of trusted, high-quality intelligence and real-time collaboration between law enforcement agencies and cryptocurrency platforms. Drawing on experiences combating North Korean cybercrime and leading innovative public-private partnerships, the speaker argues that the key to reducing losses is not simply recovering stolen funds after the fact, but intervening before victims suffer the majority of their losses.

The interview explores how better signals, faster communication, and coordinated action can help disrupt scams, prevent fraud, and create a more effective response to financial crime in the rapidly evolving world of digital assets.
